Pre-Procedure Advice
- PMU normally requires multiple treatment sessions. For best results, clients will be required to return for at least one touch up session within 6-8 weeks from the initial session.
- Those with oily skin may require an additional touch up session.
- Please be aware that the colour intensity will be significantly darker immediately after the procedure and possibly a few dark prior also. However, the colour will reduce by 30-50%.
- Although numbing cream is used during the procedure, you may experience some minor discomfort.
- Skin may be red and/or swollen immediately after the procedure.
- You can wear your normal make-up on the day of the procedure.
- Please do not drink alcohol within 48-hours of your procedure.
- You should complete your patch test 48-hours before you come for your appointment.
- Please do not shape or wax your brows before your appointment, we will handle everything.
- AHA products and retinoids should be avoided for 2-weeks prior to the procedure (all over, not just the brow area).
- Exfoliating treatments such as microdermabrasion, should not be performed within 2-weeks prior to procedure.
- Botox must be avoided for 2-weeks prior to your procedure.
- Chemical and laser peels should be avoided at least 6-weeks prior to procedure
- Discontinue use of any brow-growth serums, as it can cause sensitivity and affect pigment.
- Aspirin should be avoided 3-days prior to the procedure.
- sunbeds or excessive sun exposure should be avoided at least 1-week prior to the procedure.
- You can not have permanent makeup if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- There are various contra-indications for permanent makeup. If you have any health conditions, skin conditions or are taking any medications, please contact us prior to booking and we will advise whether you can have with the procedure.
