Microblading Post-Procedure Advice

THIS AFTERCARE IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.

PLEASE NOTE THAT FOLLOWING THE AFTERCARE IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AND ONLY BY FOLLOWING THIS AFTERCARE CAREFULY AND CORRECTLY, WILL WE ACHIEVE GOOD HEALED RESULTS.

DAY OF THE TREATMENT: Today after the treatment clean the brow area every 2-3 hours, until you are going to bed, using sterile gauze and green soap (these will be provided).
After the last clean of day one, dab a tiny bit of the aftercare cream onto your brows (very thin layer).
DAY 2 TO DAY 3: Stop wiping your brows. Dab the aftercare cream onto the brows 3 times a day (morning, afternoon and before bed). Only use a very thin layer so the skin can breathe.
DAY 4 ONWARDS: Leave the brow area alone.

Wash your hands before and after applying the cream to your brows. Apply the cream with a clean fingertip and be very gentle with the brow area. No vigorous rubbing, just a gentle deb/tap.

During the first 2-weeks after PMU you may experience some:

  • Scabbing – DO NOT PICK
  • Flaking – DO NOT PICK
  • Crustiness – DO NOT PICK
  • Swelling
  • Tenderness
  • Redness
  • Itchiness – DO NOT ITCH OR RUB (YOU CAN TAP VERY GENTLY)
  • Dryness
  • Your brows may appear very dark in the first few days (this is normal)
  • The colour may almost completely disappear after the scabs fall off (this is normal)

If you pick at your brows, you will pull out the pigment and affect the end result. You must let the scabs/flakes come off naturally.

IMPORTANT “DO NOTS” for the first 2-weeks after PMU

  • No getting them wet. No soaps, no cleansers, no water on the brow area for 2-weeks. If the brow area does get wet, dab it dry very gently with a tissue or cotton wool pad.
  • No chlorinated pools
  • No long hot steamy baths/showers
  • No saunas, steam rooms, jacuzzies
  • No sunbeds/sunbathing
  • No Retin-A products around the brow area
  • Wash your hair with your head tilted backwards to avoid getting any water/shampoo on the brows
  • Do not try to hide your eyebrows with a fringe for the first 2 days
  • Do not panic when the brow colour starts to disappear. The final result won’t be there until at least 3-weeks after your 6-8 week touch up

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Your skin needs to repair itself, so the excess pigment particles that are sat on the surface will dry up and form a crust along with skin cells. Some clients may not experience any scabbing or flaking of the skin whilst others will have a definite scab. This will come away gradually over the next 10 to 14 days. Sometimes it may look like hardly any pigment is remaining, this is completely normal.
